shit usually comes out first on iOS. and sometimes only. like Civ 6. I just got a fancy new tablet but I could never playd Civ 6 on it. just cause it's android. best they offer is that Revolution 2 game which I always thought was an embarrassment to the franchise. personally I wish they had made mobile Civ 5, and put it on android. that's my dream. but I don't think they will ever go back and do that now. best I could hope for is a port of 6.

iOS is easier to work with.

On Android you have to account for hundreds, if not thousands, of different devices, screen sizes, etc.

With iOS, you only have to account for a handful.

It's the same reason it's generally easier to design for console than for PC.

I wouldn't personally go that way myself, especially given the higher distribution costs on iOS - I'd develop for Android first, then consider covering iOS later - but I can definitely understand why many do.
