Age of Empires 2 imo
The art style is simple yet nice to look at, the mechanics introduced in 1 were perfected in it, and it isn't weighed down by a bunch of chuffa like 3 --- Not removing this until Mega Man 64 is released on the Wii Virtual Console. age of empires 2 It really is. AoE II is quintessential Age of Empires, but I had probably more fun playing AoM than any game ever.
