...who is sacrificing themselves so everyone else can escape when there is no other way? Example being holding up a collapsed building or something. It's so annoying when the character holding it up is going to lose it any second, but everyone else refuses to leave.

I don't know but one time this happened to me in Everquest. I tried to hold off the mobs when a big train happened, and the party ran for the zone exit but one person refused to leave and I kept trying to hold the mobs and then we both died . And he laughed it off later like he was doing a final stand and it was cool but I was pissed he didn't get that I was trying to prevent everyone else from dying and he made me feel like I sacrificed myself for nothing

Reminds me of in Spider-man 2 when Spider-Man was holding up that giant structure and Mary Jane was just standing there like a doofus, and Spidey was like "..This is heavy"
