Plenty of you guys know that I am a diehard animal rights activist. The limits of human cruelty to animals is pretty damned deplorable and I've always said when I had the money I'd try to fight against it.

My first goal was to help put an end to bullfighting. Its not even among the cruelest things we do to animals, but the fact that it is a spectacle that people pay to see and party about afterwards teaches people that this sort of cruelty is OK. I still have vivid memories of seeing one in Mazetlan as a kid, and it fucks me up to this day. I watched in horror as they tormented that fucking animal to wild cheers from a packed stadium.
So I bought a ranch a ways out of Barcelona, and put up a standing bounty on any bulls on their way to the nearby plaza.

Bullfighting was on the way out long before I got there, so it is fairly easy to undercut the plaza's meager budget and still come out even on the bulls once they are ready for slaughter. They are forced to either exceed my price and lose money on the fight, or cancel the fight altogether.

Next stop was a money sink over a personal vendetta. I put some money into some gear upgrades (like drones) for Protrack APU to help them better conserve endangered wildlife from poachers. In a case where it is so clear cut which side is good and which is evil it makes it easy to want to support the good.

^the tl;dr line

So, during the topic about peta's rather stupid animal crackers campaign, i thought the next cause I want to get involved in is circus animal rights. I cant keep just dumping money as donations with 0 returns like I did with Protrack (not that I wasn't happy to do it with them), so I'm going to need to do some research and planning to figure out a way to make this actually profitable like i did with the ranch.

So, maybe help crowdsource me an answer potd? I know a lot of you dont like me, but you do like elephants and shit right? and you hate to see them treated so poorly? No idea is too stupid to be out of bounds here. Even the dumbest one might give me an actual jumping off point that can make rescuing circus animals either profitable, or at least make it not a substantial money dump.

If startup capital was not the issue, what do you think YOU would do potd? How would you make money off of circus animals while simultaneously reducing, or ideally eliminating their suffering?

shit that just ended up being a second wall of text didnt it?

Is this going to be one of those times when you pretend not to have a plan until the last moment? And then turn out to really not have one?
