Sounds about right. It's a huge amount of material, huge amount of design and engineering work, tons of high-skill construction work, and tons of unique manufacturing work.

When you consider how much the engineers get paid, the custom cast steel, transporting it all, hiring cranes and their operators, transporting cranes, supervisors, etc etc etc I'm surprised it's 8 figures instead of 9. Then there's opportunity cost to consider if you have to close down the park (or part thereof) to build it, too.

idk, try wikipedia. But i don't think it cost as much as valravn for instance. It was built on the existing structure of mean streak

Mine too, I've gotten in 30 rides this season since opening weekend. I heard it wasn't cheap to build.

Probably not. I'm expecting improvements to an older ride. It'd be cool to see something done with the Gemini, or somehow make the Corkscrew or Magnum less rough.

I think they may be getting a new flat ride since the Witches Wheel is being removed at the end of the season. Rumors are they want 2 coasters by 2020 in time for their anniversary. I don't know where they'd put two coasters let alone one. Dinosaurs Alive is being taken out which frees up a good amount of space. Other rumors are that Snake River Falls is on its way out and possibly frontier fling as well. They could relocate rides throughout the park again like they did in past.

Granted it's all speculation but Cedar Point is known for its coasters and they'd be possibly be the first park to have 20.
