Looks like a lot of fun.

MH3U on Wii U was a near perfect game, and the best in the series imo.

Clearing out the UI and having all your mess on the hand screen made for beautiful experience.

Wii U is better than Switch as a console but for some reason nobody felt like making games for it

I just find it funny how all the games that didnt sell on the WiiU are the only games on Switch and its doing really well.

The system as a concept was great, IMO. It was just poorly marketed and Nintendo failed to actually play to the strengths of the hardware, namely the backwards-compatibility making it an all-in-one Nintendo console which to this day is only possible via homebrew.

no. it had multiplatform games that ran/looked worse than the ps3/360 versions, its ugly gamepad controller lasted 3 hours before dying, and was severely overpriced.

i HONESTLY didn't know it was even out.

and when i saw it was out, i thought it was a Wii upgrade like the PS3 Slim or the PS4 Pro. no idea it was a next gen console.

I have one and I really enjoyed it. I think things might have been different if they'd led off with games that played better with the Gamepad and really showed what you could do on the Wii U that you just couldn't have done with other consoles.

Like, instead of another NSMB game, if they'd launched it with a game like Mario Maker, I think the system would have came out with a MUCH more favourable game press reception than the ridicule and confusion that dogged its early launch.

That sounds like a favorable timeline.

ZombiU, Nintendo Land, and Pikmin 3 did a decent job showing what can be done. I have Wonderful 101, but never got played past the first two levels.

Not really. I mean it was a pretty bad console sales wise, but it had great games at the time. The fact that a lot of its exclusives are now on Switch hurts its legacy now as well.
