Ivany2008 05/26/18 3:16:18 AM #6:	speaking as someone who has been single for the past 5 years, and hasn't gotten laid in 4 of those years. Its difficult to deal with rejection in this day and age. Not to mention the amount of rape cases going around, where 2 people could have consensual sex, and the woman go off to the police and claim rape, fucking over his life(and this does happen, all the time in fact). You tend to be too cautious, and not want to break down the walls of communication. Its a tough hurdle to get over, but eventually it does get better and easier to deal with. Ultima Dragon 05/26/18 11:49:43 AM #18:	I was a late bloomer so maybe I missed out on the real passionate relationships (IE: first loves and teen/early twenties non-jaded romance). Right now from where I stand it doesn't seem worth it much. The honeymoon period is always great but short lived. Then it's like everything else where it's just diminishing returns, lack of fulfilment and sometimes even growing to slowly hate the other person. Even from the start it seems like people are just going through the motions, everything has already been said and done so many times. It's almost like monogamy has lost its charm and people should really only be together for a year at most. Hats off to those that can hold onto the "magic" longer than that. I guess a lot of people do it out of fear of living/dying alone. I'm pretty content to just do things on my own since again, I had a lot of practice in my younger years. I picked up a lot of hobbies and most of my days are pretty full without including a relationship, although admittedly I find myself in one currently.
