Im looking for something of good quality that could be heard pretty well throughout a large pool deck for a party. I would prefer to spend less than $200 but have no idea if thats feasible with what Im asking for.

I've used this for a few years. It's served me pretty well. Good battery life too.

Ooh I like that too.

Im confused on the megaboom. The magenta version is like $70 cheaper than all the others. Why would color affect the price that much?

I got my mother the jbl flip a few years ago, she adores it and still hasn't had any issues with it. Looks like they have the flip 4 now, and it's well within your price range. I can't comment on the sound quality, but I haven't been told of any glaring issues. It's small, though, so i doubt it sounds incredible.

I have a small one I use in the shower that is pretty loud but I don't think would work for what you want it for.
