http://www.grubstreet.com/2018/04/indiana-pizzeria-memories-closes-for-good.html
The tiny Indiana pizzeria that made national headlines in 2015 after declaring gay weddings couldnt serve its cheese pies or breadsticks has officially thrown in the towel: The South Bend Tribune reports that a sign out front of Memories Pizza informs patrons that theyve decided to close. The spots notoriety came in the run-up to the Supreme Courts landmark gay-marriage case: Memories was one of Indianas first businesses to publicly refuse to cater gay weddings, precisely what LGBTQ activists feared would happen when then-governor Mike Pence signed the states controversial Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

No one wanted to eat there anymore after they made their archaic, embarrassing views known.

Memories owners Kevin OConnor and his daughter Crystal told press at the time that gay people were still within their technical rights to visit their eight-table restaurant in the 2,200-person town of Walkerton. But if the order was intended to celebrate a gay wedding, that would conflict with their Christian beliefs and theyd have to say no.

Sounds fair to me. *shrug*

IMO if youre judging whether someone is good or bad, their political views have far less to do with it than many people like to believe.

Of course, who knows...maybe they made shitty pizzas?

But all along I've been saying that anti-discrimination laws aren't necessary. You wanna ban gay people or black people from your business? Fine..enjoy closing up shop in a few years.

Except they didn't ban gay people. They just wouldn't support gay weddings.

I'm kinda torn.

On one hand, I don't think I would approach a business that I knew held beliefs that conflicted with the way I live my life. It almost seems like people do it purpose, just to get others in trouble. A revenge of sorts.

On the other hand, I don't think the risen Jesus would want his followers to behave in a discriminatory manor. BUT, I'm not a bible scholar, so correct me if I'm wrong.

If you don't believe in gay marriage, which is fine to have a viewpoint of. I myself don't care

Then just don't get married to the same gender!

What would've having your pizza there done? Nothing, other then perhaps getting new customers.
Which is all that should matters is you getting business.

If a business goes out of business just for saying they don't support homosexuality, then they would definitely go out of business if they flat out refused to do business with gays.

I see. Thanks

Sucks big time for the business and I wish the owners the best of luck, but this is what happens when you open your mouth on political. Keep your mouth closed, the only thing you should be focusing on is making money. Now look at the consequences. I don't look at them in bad light, just people expressing their freedom of speech.

I wish people would just keep to themselves.
