if you were at a gathering of some kind and one of the people in attendance mentioned that they were a lawyer would you judge them harshly or not? would any negative stereotypes come to mind?

I try not to judge people before actually knowing them, but in general, I have a bit more respect for people in that profession with no other data available

respect them a lot
i've had to read through enough legal documents in my career to know that i'd never want to have to draft one of those things - sounds like a nightmare - respect them a lot for having the patience and talent to make airtight contracts seemingly overnight
