At one point there was atleast 8-10 of us on any given night. We'd have to preemptively put our names in to make sure we'd be 'one of the 6' doing a raid that night.

But out of nowhere, everyone just stopped playing. They moved on to PUBG and other games. It just confuses me, because I love the game so much and cant stop playing it.

I've replayed the entire campaign 4 times, making a Warlock, Titan and Hunter maxed out (and then deleting my Hunter and restarting with a new one). And I'll replay the same fucking Strikes and Public Events every week, for all 3 characters even though I already have all the rewards (exotic guns, armor, emotes, ships). I just find so much joy out of playing it.

It makes me sad that nobody likes playing it anymore...it's such a smooth and seamless system.

I'm one of my friends in a group that moved on. In D1 we were raiding at least 5 nights a week. I have 2 friends that still play regularly.

My one friend who played D1 almost non-stop since it's release has seemingly stopped with 2 and now he's moved on to War-frame, so we play that alot now. None of my other former Destiny playing friends want to play anything like Destiny so they've stayed away.

Yeah I feel like Destiny 2 isn't doing nearly as well as the first game. Me and my friends stopped playing a while back too.

I stopped playing because my clan stopped playing, not necessarily because of the state of the game.

Raids are still super fun, but no one wants to do them anymore. :(

Destiny 2 should have been DLC for the first game.

I'll get back to it though, once I am done with all of my schoolwork.

I only started playing it after my brother insisted on buying it for me so that he and his friend would have a third. They don't play it anymore. I log in maybe once a week now. I'm back to putting most of my time unto Crossout. I didn't like some of the changes, especially to weapons. Putting snipers, shotguns and fusion rifles in the heavy slot and replacing the heavy machine gun with the seriously lack luster grenade launcher was a real bummer for PvE. I wasn't aware.of these changes until I actually started playing the game though. I hadn't read anything about the game.

There's nothing to do in it.

The crucible is fucking awful, I have all the gear I want, and there's nothing left for me to do.

That, and the dawning pissed me off completely, and I haven't touched the game since.

congrats, you're one of the 90,000 total for all platforms still playing

even I don't play it anymore, and destiny is my legit favorite universe. I've spent a good $2000 on this series.

and bungie completely ruined everything with d2.

I moved on when Monster Hunter World came out. I didn't dislike the game, but I didn't have much incentive to keep playing, especially since all of my other friends moved on long before that.

The biggest complaint I hear is that they gimped our characters for the sake of PvP balance. Compared to D1 our abilities charge much slower, we move slower, we can no longer equip a sniper/shotgun/fusion alongside a rocket launcher/machine gun, and weapon perks are generally underwhelming.

This is a good chunk of it. Literally everything in Destiny 2 was a step backwards from what we previously had.

Combined with nothing to do end game and awful PvP (which is hilarious given that all the changes we're supposedly to make PvP better), and there's no reason to play it.

Also, the first expansion had literally zero content in it. It was a joke.

massive change in weapon slots. none of this bullshit two primaries and a power weapon.

it used to be kinetic, special, and heavy. machine guns and rockets were heavy, fusions, snipers, shotguns, and sidearms were special, and scout, pulse, auto, handcannon were kinectic.

actual subclass customization.

a faster TTK, abilities that recharged fast. you could get your grenade to recharge in 30 seconds at base, not even taking skills and armor abilities into the equation. exotics that felt exotic and looked exotic, stuff to actually collect, actual rewards for activities (ghost shells, sparrows, ships, ect. for raid/strikes/ ect.), raids that were actually amazing and fun, strike specific loot. actually difficult activites, ammo synths, vendors aren't a slot machine. the ability to actually choose a specific pvp playlist. you want just clash? go in to clash. rumble? go to rumble. 6v6 pvp, too, and the ability to do custom pvp matches. artifacts that gave you unlimited sprint, constant radar, linking together to recharge other peoples supers faster, ect

ran out of room in your actually big vault somehow? that's okay. dismantle those sparrows and ships, you can just go to a kiosk and get it back.

quests, playbooks that tracked things and gave you rewards based on what you've done. bounties, so you have something to do every day. the ability to actually choose specific missions or strikes that you can do literally at any time.

not a huge giant focus on eververse.

that's what D1 is, and none of that is in D2.

They did just have a new "go fast" update where they boosted a lot of guns stats, made the movement for every character faster, and increased the speed of the Supers and abilities.

Most of my perks have always been to boost the recharge speed of things like grenades and abilities, so I've never had a complaint on any of that stuff

you would have a complaint if you played D1.

even with the recent go fast update, you'd feel like you're slogging through water if you went back to it after d1

I will admit the first DLC was kinda shitty. The new raid was barely a raid at all, we could finish it in like 30 mins.

I do love Mercury though. That's probably my favorite part of the expansion

In PvE only, which doesn't help the awful state of crucible.

Good improvements, yet it's still slower (and feels weaker) than what we had in D1. In fact, not making more changes to Crucible actually made these changes actively bad there, particularly upped movement speed as now it's easier to just run away, meaning it's even more important to travel in groups.

I had a grenade based warlock build in D1 where I could basically spam grenades and never have to worry about it (in fact, during the super I could throw out like 20 grenades, it was incredible). Nothing even remotely close to that now. It's painfully slow waiting for grenades and melee to recharge, even after the go fast update and with time boosting mods.

in d1, i had a sunbreaker setup where i had a grenade in seconds.

most strikes i just ran around doing nothing but throwing nades, and that was some of the funnest shit

since i wasn't using my super, i threw skorri on and let the good times roll

then when we got tired of that, we'd hop into clash and i would just snipe dudes from across the map with my goddamn hopscotch pulse

Play 1 instead, it's the superior game.
