Sonic Mania is by far the better game.
Reused levels sure, but the second level of every zone is completely redone. The music is also redone and is phenomenal. Who plays Sonic for the story?!?! I can admit, the troll (not TC, the youtuber) got me hook line and stinker. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Some first acts, with Stardust Speedway being the stand-out example, were also quite different from the originals.
