I took a computer class in college and learned some C++. I continued on with C++ afterwards and had been using Code::Blocks but I started losing interest around 2010/2011 as work become more stressful and I started focusing more of my free time on art.

I'm at maybe a late second year college level with Java (mostly self-taught, so it's tough to judge). have some limited experience with C++, Pascal and Basic. but those were all last used a long time ago.

Work is boring, but it's not stressful, I don't have to work more than 40hrs a week, there are flexible work hrs and working from home is not a problem, and I get paid a good salary. So, basically if you're ok with your actual job being dull, it's pretty good.

Did someone already do all the work and posted it on stack overflow so I can just steal it?

I still remember, I planned to do a computer science degree but the counselor in college told me that it would take me 5 years rather than 4 when factoring in the GRE as well.

They can be enjoyable in terms of writing a program that can simplify a task that you want to do.
