It's been a month and it hasn't chilled the fuck out. My bald fucking head today was too long. So i had 5 of them get in my face and literally say I'm a piece of shit, im selfish, I don't care about anything and like 80 other things. For some reason were the only class that's still doing inspections. The other classes do 3 the whole cycle.

We're on our 6th one month in and it's just way too much. My punishment homework for tonight is

6 definitions 5 each times
A 3 page chapter out of the manual 5 times
2 500 word essays
3 charts
3 cards
And like 3 other things I haven't looked at yet

I'll be doing this until probably it's time to wake up at 6am. Its doing wonders for my home life too. My 10 hour days are actually 14 hours long so when I come home I don't do anything but homework until I fall asleep

Meanwhile my best friend at the Chicago academy like I was thinking originally before I went to this one. Have only been yelled at once in the 5 months he's been in so far

they should actually spend time training police instead of doing this shit

It's a job where you deal with high pressure and people screaming in your face and conflict frequently. It makes perfect sense to put trainees through that to see if they can even handle it before becoming a cop. It's the same in the military.

Never had homework in the army and I was an mp too lol. Shit I was in gitmo one of the highest stress levels in the world and that was cake compared to this

Easiest way to think of it is as a game. Like you have to learn and you have improve but the yelling, insults, and treating you like shit is all an act.

Don't let it get you down and keep on rolling with it and remember while they never completely let up they definitely dial it way back after about a 3rd to half of the way through.

They do a shit ton of work outside of actual classes. For the most part classes are something like 8-5 m-f with an additional 3 hours of work or so outside of class everyday.
