If I wanted to listen to a random song, like the X-Men TAS theme, I had to go home and pop in the VHS of an episode I taped, fast forward for several minutes until I found the intro.

Youtube is definitely one of the greatest websites.

I remember when I used to find DBZ fansites back in 2003 and had to wait 5 minutes for multimedia clips to download.

I remember going on Myspace and getting mad that they didn't have the song I wanted for my profile so I made a band profile for that band and uploaded the song myself so I can use it for my page

I'm trying to slowly get my life back to that point. Youtube has lost it's luster for me. 99% of the people on there are just boring and copy cats of each other. And, I'm realizing that I give zero shits about them.

Yeah man, people these days don't know. I remember phone requesting a song on the radio and sitting there and recording the radio for hours on end on cassette just to have a copy of that one song I wanted to hear.

Ok yes, many songs you could have downloaded from filesharing platforms, but I mean that the sheer variety that is on Youtube is greater. Also, I had gotten viruses from using Limewire and I lost 8 years worth of pictures and documents from my computers crashing.
