this is my second ever reddit post. my first one was a month ago on the same sub, fell down the pages quickly, but I think it did that because I used a swear word(shit) and it might have been blocked from public view? hell i dont know all I know is the view count rose by one when I looked at it and that was that.

Anyways I have a second post now about something relevant to this sub gaining traction. in about a day it has 2800 or so upvotes and 184 comments. not sure how good that is or anything but its one of the most popular threads of the month.

anyways, i never really use reddit so im not sure of its ins and out, but there is occasionally interesting things on reddit and this sub really hits home so i read it every day.

but i am still not a fan of reddit in general so normally when posts blow up people edit their post being thankful for all the attention and everything...but i am not going to do that because its reddit i dont give a fuck

i dont know why i felt i had to share that but there we go no thanks for anybody.

I made a post on 4chan that linked Roman Polanski directly hiring Charles Manson to murder his wife, to cover up his pedophilia charges.

It got over 100 replies.

This post tells me literally nothing.

I don't know what subreddit you posted on. I don't know what you posted about.

So I don't know what I'm supposed to respond with here.

no link but here is a copy of my post, you can probably find it yourself if you really care. Im glad im getting some reddit traction but im not trying to whore myself out even though I am posting about it here.

"Okay so I am on the express lane and an older woman, probably 70s, comes up and states she has two transactions. Now occasionally I make mistakes like we all do but generally I am very on point and if a customer has an "oddball" request I take note and dont mess up. Not that two transactions is weird but still.

So I ring up her first order, and as she is paying I grab the second order to move it to my end of the counter, not to scan it. This is a habit of mine, get the next order prepped for when its ready.

just as I have a finger on it she swats my hand away and goes "this is separate"

See, it got as big as it did because it hits on something a lot of people take seriously: personal space.

I dont care too much about my personal space, though people should know not to touch strangers. My issue was really just how her reaction was to swat my hand away like that and how it didnt even register with her what she did.

But this reminds me seeing the stories of old folks touching kids in strollers without asking and stuff like that. when some people see a watch of mine im wearing and they like it, some people will grab my arm and touch the watch. Like, okay my idea of personal space isnt as extreme(for lack of a better term, it is totally okay to feel that way though) as some peoples, but I wish people knew its not okay to just grab my arm and touch something I paid for and want to keep in the best condition possible despite the attempts of my flailing meat arms swinging it all over the place.
