I'm glad that the show didn't go into the effects of PTSD or have a support group of people who had been victimized by him. It definitely clears that up and shows they were happy they did the things that they were made to do

Also, I would think it depends on how he words it. Like, if he said something like "you want to have sex with me" as opposed to "fuck me, now!".

People do shit, in real life (willingly or unwillingly), that they regret later without magical powers involved.

In the end, no one fuckin' knows EXACTLY how they would behave if they were suddenly bestowed these type of abilities. You might be manipulating people and not even know it.

Furthermore, if you've had these powers your whole life, you might view people differently. They might just be tools to you. You might be worse than kilgrave. Or, maybe you'd cure world hunger. Who the fuck knows? Anyone have an alternate reality device, so we can check right quick?

It's nearly impossible to ethically use his abilities. Even if you were making someone do something objectively good for society you are still committing an unprecedented violation of free-will, individual liberty, and personal freedom on that person.

If I got his powers right now, I'd probably go crazy and secluded myself from society. If I was born with them I'd probably be a monster.

You're referring to what I said, which I didn't say that he didn't force people to do things. No shit, he did.

The way one of the victims described it, is that while they were under his influence, they actually wanted to do the things that he told them to do. Almost as if their brain was temporarily rewired to be highly agreeing with him.

Maybe it works different per individual. Maybe some have their thoughts, while their body has a mind of if it's own, doing his bidding. Maybe some are completely possessed and consumed by him. I'm not sure if it actually goes into specifics about this. It's been over a year since I watched it.

Yeah. She probably was just use to it. Who knows how long she had been "free" but just obeying him because it was the only way for so long. Maybe it was an in the moment thing when she broke free, or maybe it was a slow decline of control, and she just didn't notice.
