There's only so much people here can do. None of us are licensed help, they don't just cut people off as far as I know either. They give them information to get actual help.

I disagree. Those rules are there to legally protect website and maintain order. I don't expect someone contemplating self harm to reason their way through that, and decide not to post about their intended suicide. I would expect any competent moderation staff to close any such topics before group think and sensationalist trolling took hold.

I don't necessarily disagree but for my own part, I tried to contact a distress hotline the other day and it made me feel worse. It was a user from gamefaqs that ended up helping me.

I've heard similar stories from support hroups about this with suicide hotlines. Sometimes you need to talk to a real person, hotlines are like speaking to robots.

I agree, hotlines are garbage. I used a text message one and they just gave some generic motivational one-liner when they didn't have an answer to a certain problem. It's why people need therapy; someone they can regularly see, someone who can get to know about their life, their mindset, their experiences and give them new insight on certain things and why they think they way they do.

So I get why suspensions aren't necessarily a perfect solution, but realistically, that weekoldhotdog clown's comments would've just pushed him towards actually doing it.

Sometimes it's the other way around though. When I was in a dark place, I needed someone to be real with me about who's gonna clean up the mess I leave behind. I wasn't thinking of anyone else, I just wanted out.

Not that I have to justify anything to you, but suicide is a natural part of my life cycle. Detachment? I'd pull my own trigger if I wasn't sure this life isn't what I could make it, knowing that the next life isn't absolute. I don't own a gun because I could commit suicide on any moment where my life wasn't feeling like it was up to par. But that is a passing feeling.

Also: If I wanted to commit suicide, I would do it. I wouldn't tell anybody because what's the point? Fucking get it done. Since I haven't haven't made that decision yet, then i obviously want to live.

I pked THEHAWKTHATLIVED at one, plus sunzilla's party was the best. also, I genuinly liked you as a poster and just wanted to get your attention, both then and now. but this is besides like everything. I feel actually really bad that this topic went from concern about Yaridovich to Resolution having a vendetta on how I made at least 8 posts in his topic trying to reach out to the original TC and resolution just couldn't get over the approach.
