They're blatantly in the pockets of rich folk and screwing the rest of the US. At least in the past, they try to hide that shit. Now it's all in the open, and they don't af.

Because Republicans ensured that we remain an oligarchy with their citizens united shenanigans. And because their sole motivation for voting for anyone is to elect someone that will piss off liberals. Even if they will ultimately suffer greater consequences than those liberals.

I mean I get why they're frustrated. They've been on a horrible losing streak since Clinton was elected. He was amazing, they tried to ruin him with an impeachment which actually made him far more popular and highlighted how successful his presidency was. Then they got their turn and completely shit the bed with George W who is considered to be one of the worst presidents of all time. And after getting completely shit on for 8 years, Obama comes in and turns out even better than Clinton, and his blackness obviously contributed towards conservatives hatred towards him. Despite the loaded Republican Congress, Obama still managed to pass a ton of socially progressive legislation that conservatives hated. And they were all hyped on being able to take all the shit they got for Bush and throw it right back at the liberals, but then Obama fucked up their plans by being amazing and probably the highest quality person that's ever been in the white house if you were judging him as just a man and not a president (tho he was a great president as well) and all of this frustration is exacerbated by the increasingly divisive conservative media they absorb every waking minute. And despite their best efforts to obstruct every single thing he ever tried to do, he went ahead and accomplished tons of stuff by just steam rolling right over them.

So now they're basically just desperate for a win of any kind, any thing where they can say "ha! We got you liberals! Now you have to feel the pain we've suffered for the past decade!" Even if it is detrimental to the country as a whole. That's how you get Trump and how an entire state could believe that holding an opposing political opinion to be worse than molesting children. And how actual policies and ability to govern are completely irrelevant in the majority of conservatives eyes. They're in desperation mode because they've been getting shot on since the early 90s, all while being called racists and homophobes and unintelligent white trash. It's been hell for then for a long time, and now they've lashed out in the most destructive way possible just to have the satisfaction of seeing liberals upset.

How is it bait? Net neutrality is blatantly against the American people, and just there to pad corporate pockets. Tax bill makes health care worse, screws over a lot of middle class, and gives tax breaks to the super rich. I just saw that there's a provision in there that limits estate tax over $11 million. Like are you fucking kidding me? Why the fuck would you limit that unless you are so rich mf.

some fucking morons decided because hillary wasn't exactly what they wanted they werent gonna vote in 2016

and trump won their states by 0.1% granting him the presidency

the GOP seized on the opportunity to not deal with vetos to force through as much of their agenda as possible

their general belief is this 2 year period is the only chance they're going to get to do anything for a very long time

Yeah, controlling every branch of government is such a terrible streak.

I'm talking about since 92, conservatives just took control of government less than a year ago. Lol and you did that by electing Trump, yeah even when you win elections you lose, just like with George W.

since 92 they have:

taken the house+senate during clinton's presidency (94)

held the above and taken presidency in 2000-2006, did not lose house/senate until 06

lost all 3 in 2008

regained house in 2010 and swept state legislatures, gerrymandering house for a decade

regained senate in 2012 or 2014 (I can't remember which)

regained presidency in 2016, now holding all 3 again

democrats are the ones who have struggled. we had a bright spot with the obama presidency because obama was genuinely likeable.

They do all of this because they know that their voting base just plain doesn't care.

You do realize I'm not referring to election when I say losing streak right? Ws presidency was a huge loss for conservatives despite being in charge. Hell even Trump is obviously going to go down as a huge loss for Conservatives, he's terrible at being president and conservatives can't rely on alternative facts forever. They'll need to come back to reality eventually. We need then to. We need mature, rational conservatives to balance out the extreme left that's reared its ugly head. Liberals and conservatives need each other, idk why people don't realize that more. But since the right has gone off the rails (and like I said, I understand why, they've had a horrible two decades) the left has grown out of control. Why couldn't you guys elected a normal conservative like Rubio or hell even Bush?

It's seriously like you guys have been losing this "game" for so long that you decided to say fuck it and flip the board upside down. Well you had your little hissy fit now get your shit together and get back to being the mature, pragmatic, sensible party we need you to be.
