Has it always been weird to anyone else that Kid Buu is the official English name of that form of Majin Buu? Was that a name fans came up with first that official English materials later adopted, or did they use it first?

That's actually a good question. I never wondered about the origin of his name. It makes me wonder if the same applies to Super Buu and all the other Buu forms

Kid Buu is a fan name for Pure Boo that English/Funimation adopted (there are a couple like that)

As for Super Buu I do believe that some stuff in Japan called Evil Boo, Chou Boo, and that means Super, so here we go.

I'm also pretty sure his only canon name ever in the manga is Majin Boo/Boo. I don't think he's ever been called Evil, Chou, pure evil, pure, fat, Mr., Kid, Super etc... in anything except games and merchandise.

Which is doubly weird cause they straight talk about how Pure Evil Boo and Fat Boo are different entities completely so calling them all Boo/Majin Boo has always seemed stupid to me.

I just finished watching the Kai dub last week and I don't think he was ever actually called Kid Buu there, just Buu or Majin Buu. Super Buu did call himself Super Buu I believe, or it might have been in the name of an episode.

That actually is a ONE HUNDRED PERCENT FAN NAME! And unlike Ultimate Gohan and Chou Gohan (also fan names)it has never ever ever ever been used for official Dragonball stuff.

Elder Kai Unlock is the other official name you might see in some games or merch.

As far as I can tell it has no canon name.

Cell games: Gohan is 9 by age and 9 or 10 physically.

This is where the concept of months come in - Japanese schools begin in the first half of the year, not the latter. Source: Me. I studied in Japan.

The 25th World Martial Arts Tournament (aka Buu Saga tournament, taking place well into the Saga) takes place in May, before Gohan's birthday. The start of the saga occurs before Gohan's birthday of that year.

Age 774: Gohan is 16, Buu Saga starts -> Tournament starts -> Gohan's birthday happens and Gohan becomes 17 because 774 - 757 = 17

The only thing about Gohans age that Ive been confused by is the timeline for meeting and then marrying Videl. Buus appearance was less than a year after they met, which was his first year in high school, right? Then they wish for bad memories of Buu to be erased six months later, and then the next episodes are supposed to be another few months after that, and in those episodes theyve just gotten married? Arent they still in high school for another year at least?

Anybody happen to know if they've said when the demo/open beta is? They already did the closed one a few months ago and the game is out in a little over a month so it should be happening soon

I'm pretty sure they said Jan 19th or something but I could be making that up. The game comes out in Feb right?
