Was Clark right not tell Lana his secret?

Lana seemed pretty accepting of the meteor-freaks, but saying you have powers because you're an alien would be a different story. She did seem like she was willing to take on any stress associated with his secret though.

It's kind of a lame cliche. It was refreshing when Man of Steel just had Lois knowing the truth from the get-go.

I've never really been a fan of the dumb plot lines that unfold because of keeping their secret identities hidden from their friends and family.

Clark always just went silent or had a dumb reason when Lana point blank asks him why he won't share his secret.

Why should she though?

Because he arrived in the meteor shower that was the result of his planet being destroyed.

Yeah, but he felt responsible. It was his arrival that caused her and many other Smallville residents their problems.

Why does gaining powers from meteor rocks make so many residents become evil? Trying to think of the ones who didn't have to be stopped.

Ryan?
Jordan Cross?

Power corrupts the average person or something like that.

But to be fair, I'm pretty sure he told her that he had superpowers when he was a teenager.

Ryan James was a young boy that enjoyed reading and drowning himself in comic books, particularly Warrior Angel graphic-novels. After he came in direct contact with Green meteor rocks, he got infected, as well as felt as an outsider ever since, which explains why he detached from the world sometimes by reading. At first, with his ability to read the minds of others, he couldn't drown them out, causing major stress. He was initially extremely shy and quite timid, although with the 'big brother' model of Clark he came out of his shell to a degree.

Is it me, or did Lana get over her injury pretty quickly? 2 episodes later, she is walking normally without a cane again...
