A career best performance from him and will be remembered for a long time. He's weirdly more like Tommy than Tommy himself is. In a great way. It's not even caricature, Franco's performance embodies how we imagine Tommy is. It's uncanny and just a joy to watch. The movie itself is meh. It hits the high notes, but tbh once they get the part where they start making the room, it drags. The story of the making of the movie isn't that interesting.
