>still gets rejected

this is how MGTOWs are born.

Not really, since he's still somewhat enamored by her, as shown in later episodes, and he's also shown interest in other female Pokemon (such as a Glameow).

Meowth was severely underappreciated.

I mean he transcended the boundaries of his species and learnt how to act like a higher life form just to impress a girl. Meowth is basically a super genius of unparalleled potential. Everyone in that series should be constantly amazed at Meowth, and not treating him like the punchline of every joke.
