Customer came in to cash in a coinstar slip worth $459.30. I...think using a coinstar machine is idiotic because it takes around 10% of your money(but is free if you get a gift card to one of the few choices available).

So, im ringing them out and they said "hey i can give you these two dimes the machine rejected to make it fifty cents back"

and so I took them, glanced at em, knew they were silver and bought them as soon as they left.

two dimes. in one day! for some people thats going through hundreds of dollars worth of dime boxes.

so that makes 9 silver dimes since ive been checking. 7 silver nickels, and zero quarters found retail huntin'

well collector value is 2-3 dollars(of course key dates and exceptional condition coins are outliers), but in silver value, today they are: $1.24.

90% silver @ 0.723oz

I mean, not super valuable, but I like any silver coins I find. spend a dime, get a buck twenty-five in precious metal value

I have a 1943 quarter somewhere. I remember trying to use it in a soda machine and it kept being rejected before I noticed it was so old.
