Movies and games have embargos literally the day of sometimes and are still great. On the gaming side, Mario Odyssey's embargo was less than 24 hours before release and it's amazing, and Prey didn't even send out review copies until after release and it was great as well.

For movies everybody knows that's a huge red flag. It's a heavy indication that the studio doesn't have faith in the film and majority of the time, those movie turn out to be less than stellar. It's possible that they may move the embargo back between now and the 17th.
