I've never played any of the games but I thought they were as old as the "garden of eden". but this new game is set only 2 thousand years ago and it's called Origins. I don't get it

Well, they can't be all that old, or they wouldn't be able to do all the jumping and rolling.

I'm guessing Origins addresses that, based on the name.

Note also that this is a sci-fi story where the main sci-fi element is learning about the past, so they can still explore the Assassin organization origin without actually having the game take place in the same era.

Also, Ubisoft at this point could easily retcon as much of history as they need to. For all we know, Origins will claim the world is 200 years old and our DNA was fiddled with by TOWCB to implant a false history.

The Garden of Eden in the AC games is not the biblical one

Ezio is 17-39 in AC2, 40-48 in Brotherhood and 54 in Revelations

Connor was around 21

Edward is 23 in ACIV

Arno is around 25

Both Frye twins are 20

Like II, III takes place over a pretty long period of time. I wanna say it's more than ten years but not positive.

Origins is supposedly the birth of the assassin order as we know it, and it takes place around ~50BC i believe.

And most of the game spans several years. I wasn't counting little kid Connor, let alone the intro.

Whoops. Thought he ended the game at 21 when it's closer to 24.

Doesn't help that some missions can be done out of order in different years too

Whoops. Thought he ended the game at 21 when it's closer to 24.

That can't be right. I'm not seeing a birth year but 24 years would put him being born in 1758, which is just two years before the attack on the village.
