Board 8 > That Marvel Vs Capcom story mode *SPOILERS*

I went ahead and beat it last night. Took a few hours.

There are so many things that don't make sense or are plot holes but I won't be going over that

So heres a bunch of random comments in no order

the story starts becoming good once Hulk Grabs Ryu like a ragdoll and jumps away. At that point the devs stopped giving a fuck

speaking of Ryu
hes like "I was part of a scientific research dedicated to studying the anomalies of the convergence"

Theres fucking aliens and talking animals and what he said was the most unbelievable part of the story, and I'm a Ryu fan!

I feel like Capcom knows who I am because they teamed up Frank West and Haggar for most of the story

They gave Chris Redfield, Spencer, and Hawkeye way too much attention in the beginning. I know they have fans but it makes it all the more jarring once they basically dropped them in the second half.

Chun Li and Iron man turning on everyone for 2 minutes was cringey
"HEY, REMEMBER CIVIL WAR? WE DO!"

The character choices for battles didn't make sense (okay I'll just go over this one thing)
"Thor has been taken over!
GET EM, SPENCER AND ARTHUR"

the final with Dante and Captain Marvel was also a headscratcher

Everybody lending their strength to Megaman'x spirit bomb was funny

Making Strider's final boss one of them gem holders and not actually making him a battle (dies in a cutscene) was a stupid waste

they probably wanted to please Moto Kikau or whatever so they crammed that in there.

Morrigan being a tsundere whore to the point where she attacks Ghost Rider because he didn't give her his literal boner was stupid and hilarious

Dormammu and Firebrand don't appear again >_>. What a waste

Thanos shooting a hadouken was something I've never thought I'd see in my wildest dreams.

and finally

While they DID know how to treat Frank West, they didn't go all out with him. I might be spoiled by Project X Zone, an RPG, but I was hoping he'd be a bit funnier and would be taking "EROTICA" Shots of the ladies the entire story.

Him being the last line of defense against Thanos and him lampshading it on top of that was amazing though

The story was enjoyable for dumb reasons, but hey, that might better that mediocrity. its more than I can say about SFV's story!

Have been afraid to give it a try.

As far as the gameplay goes

Its hard for me to wrap my head around it, but simply because I was an ace at MVC3

Top 50 in the leaderboards!

I see Haggar and my fingers start moving as if it was MVC3

I'll need alot of practice to rewrite my brain for this game

I gave up on trying to learn it and just Auto combo all day while using various specials to keep the combo going as long as possible

Works well enough and Dragonball will have it anyway so I don't see it as a big deal

This is the best thing. Especially Iron Man's "...He actually did it?" briefly before Thanos gets back up.

I'm still struggling with the new way OTGs work. More moves can pick people up than before but it seems like they start getting up faster for the most part which limits what you can actually pull off.

Right now I'm trying to learn Gamora and Zero, at least to a competent level. Using them with the Soul Stone is great because they both have Sougenmu supers on the same input, so when I activate Soul Storm with 2 bars I can basically control 4 characters at once.

It does make it harder to open people up when you can't easily throw out a bunch of attacks from different angles at once. You could try playing characters like Ultron, Strider, or Rocket who have assist-like special moves. More generally, starting a move that stays out for a while and immediately tagging out is the closest you can probably get.
