I don't like any documentary that trashes North Korea without the context of how US actions perpetuates their state. It is propaganda.

How does the US do that? Either way if you're not denying that the government does what these documentaries say they do then I don't see why not covering that aspect in every documentary is bad

What we can say is nearly all documentaries on North Korea do not ask this question. And I would say that it is a very important one, at the very least interesting. North Korea often acts in reaction to our state actions. Sometimes what we do doesn't actually help the Koreans at all and perpetuates their misery at the gain of their government, who then receives popular support for their tyranny.

Because unless you put the Korean war in the context of American involvement then all you get is a implied "they are bad and we are good" message which is not at all useful in actually understanding the Korean war.
