Yeah, I think there's a statistical problem where essentially any analysis of Trump's approval rating will tend to cap out at 45%, since he hasn't achieved much of a range.

I really enjoy fivethirtyeight. They're quite fair and include all the stuff that makes the article appear less sexy, and yet still comes to a fun statistical conclusion.

Their article on Lionel Messi being essentially impossible was great for this:

I don't know that I'd put his floor quite that high. I'd say it might be closer to ~30% or so. That was about the percentage of support he had for his Charlottesville remarks.
