Hmmm?

I think I got my expectations up to high for Bladerunner, heard all this shit that it was the best sci-fi movie ever and when I bought and watched The Final Cut, I was like "That was decent, aint blown away but it was okay". Still though, I liked it and I am looking forward towards the sequel, it looks pretty cool.

Also it's 2017, where's my Pris sexbot!?!

Ya the bot, its that plain-Jane brunette isn't it? No tranvestite dominatrix acrobat clown robot for us.

Tranvestite isn't a slur, right? Robots don't have gender I think(?) calling them transgender wouldn't make sense. The point is, that Man/Lady/Robot confused me when I was little.

I've never actually watched Bladerunner. I'll probably watch 2049 though.

I didn't really like Bladerunner. I think everyone just likes the end scenes, which were good, sure, but overall the movie was boring and dull and didn't really explore any interesting ideas, at least to me.

I'm all for more cyberpunk, though, so I am definitely interested to see what else they can do with it.

Blade Runner was fantastic and I'm cautiously optimistic at best for 2049.
It's got a wrestler in it which tends to be a good guide of how cheesy and/or generic action it's going to be so it's hard to get properly excited.

Yeah, when I first watched it I only really liked the Roy chase/monologue, the Leon "fight" and the part where he took a shot and cleaned the blood out his mouth, the rest I kinda thought was meh, although I did like the part where they enter and the elevator closes and that's it, que music, not the original version where they fly through the countryside.

Meh, Bastista might be alright, probably some generic bounty hunter or something. Plus he got glasses, how smart he must be!!!!

I really wasn't impressed with the original but it's probably been at least 10 years since I've seen it. I do plan on watching it again and reevaluating my stance on 2049 (which for now is meh).

He's going to be a replicant last I heard but while I'm not saying he has no acting ability at all, it's just how the casting seems to work, wrestlers=the sort of movie that appeals to wrestling fans.

I really enjoyed Blade Runner. I have zero expectation going into the new one. It looks like they moved it into a more action blockbuster direction. I see some hints that it may keep the noir aesthetic, but it's pretty unlikely given remake/late sequels track records lately.

According to early reviews it's a masterpiece. Which I expect no less with Denis Villeneuve directing the film

It took 3 or 4 tries (and being 3am with nothing else to watch when BBCAmerica showed it about 6 times in a row) before I was able to force myself to sit through the entire movie...
No, I did not like the movie and I will not be watching the new one.
