1. Joining the Losers is pretty much the only shot a kid has at surviving IT.
2. Haven't seen the movie so I don't know if it covered this or not. The Losers who leave Derry all get to live out their lifelong passion. They also forget about IT and most of the other fucked up stuff in Derry.

it didn't cover it because the movie is only part 1, and it ends after the childhood victory against IT. with them swearing to come back if IT ever returns. and then the credits say "IT PART 1" to explain to people who didn't know that it's actually 2 movies and they just only saw the first half

I know there were people who didn't know cause the couple sitting right next to me was like "that's it...it's over?" and then "ohhhhhhh" when they saw the credits

I probably wouldn't believe them and would be freaked out. But I would eventually probably join because I'd be afraid that it would come after me and I'd be alone

I knew it was Part 1 but I didn't know if they showed any scenes of the Losers as adults.

no they haven't even finished casting call for the adults. they are still picking all the actors and then plan to make the movie very quickly so they can still use the children. they want to have some flashback scenes in part 2 that are set in the 80's. so they want to hurry while the kids are still kids. and the plan is for Part 2 to be out by the end of 2018

the only mention of them as adults in the movie was at the very end after the big fight, Bev mentions that while she was in the dark she had a vision of them all together as adults, and that something was worrying them.

Did they actually kill IT for good in Part 2?

I don't think so. you can't really truly kill it. but they banished it. and it might not return to earth for a long time. it was injured very badly and had to retreat

I thought that Their memories of IT and the summer fading away, was basically a sign that they IT wasn't going to return for a very very long time. Granted, Pennywise could just appear in some other town or city and The Losers club would like never find out about him.

When I was a kid, I thought the heating ducts contracting was Freddy Krueger clawing he way up to get me. One night, I had enough. I marched downstairs to the basement to face him. I was terrified and pretty sure I was gonna die.

I can't really say. I mean, he takes on the form of your worst fears, so he would probably take on the form of a necropmorph or the creeper in my case.

Though I'll probably get to the point where I've just had it and feel a combination of angry scared and try to fight back.

You never know what you're gonna do in a situation until it happens.

It can taste your fear. fear is what is eats. so it knows if your actually scared or not

So basically you could use drugs to dull your senses and make yourself invincible. Ecstasy would basically immunize you from him.

lol, no way in hell unless I already knew going in that he fed off fear. Even then, still probably not since I was pretty easy to scare as a kid.
