Goku has brain damage, right? and that's why he is good instead of mean and evil. When he dies, in the afterlife he should be cured of the braindamage because in the afterlife people become in perfect health again. the braindamage is a physical thing effecting his body, not his soul. in Otherworld, Goku should be calling himself Kakarot and acting like a dick and plotting how to get back and destroy the earth

Goku initially went through brain conditioning before being sent to Earth. It's why he was so hard to handle when Gohan first found him, cause he was still operating under his "kill all humans" programming. After he hit his head the conditioning was wiped out and he became more of a blank slate that was no longer brainwashed. Him being a good guy is him being natural, unlike being a genocidal maniac.
