So at the end of the fifth book, as you all know, Jon is stabbed in a mutiny

A lot of us, a lot of fans are thinking he will be resurrected and go about his business

Some versions of the theory say that Mel will bring Jon back from the dead, but right off the bat it seems off (much like when Beric is brought back). He can't remember details of his past life very well, he believes the fake Arya is real, shit like that.

So he does his shit, and near the very end of the book, we get a POV titled "Ghost". And in this chapter it becomes apparent that this is actually Jon's POV. He warged into Ghost after he died.

This then leaves us with a pretty big twist and a lingering question for the next book. If Jon is in Ghost, then who or what is in Jon's body?


Probably not how Martin will write it, but damn if this wouldn't be interesting as hell

that would be neat but it seems highly unlikely

beric makes it clear that he's still him when he returns, just that parts of him are missing. not that he's been replaced by some 'other'
