ok so ro. you can skip the vanilla version and get ace without missing much.
ro is a monster hunter clone, but the difficulty level is pretty low for one and there's a lot more emphasis on genociding regular size monsters than giant bosses. there's a fair amount of customization, as you can pick between six classes with different triangle and circle combo strings and specials and different equips. on top of that you can equip up to eight cards that give you further special abilities or stat boosts. also halo weapons have upgrade trees. a halo gives you like twenty quests to kill monsters or find materials and you can pick say fifteen of them to give you stat boosts or upgrade skills the way you want. as you might expect it's fairly grindy but it's more that it requires a lot of money and items to upgrade anything. though as long as you mainly stick one class you shouldn't need to grind until you get to postgame and are trying to farm postgame level equipment and upgrade materials or work on postgame halo weapons. main game is about twenty hours, ace content probably about fifty, and about a hundred for the platinum. I should probably mention that while online is still up, the postgame content patched into the game after release is no longer supported. you could still do prison of the gods runs to farm postgame equipment but you can't get any of the guest character costumes or cards without cheating. well other than the free dlc ones. --- The only certain death in the universe is Mother Hitton's Littul Kittons. *already has the wii version* You don't have the 4 DLC stories, tho. Also, I'll say it again. OLED screens and Vanillaware games are a match made in heaven. --- pepsi for tv-game ... Copied to Clipboard!

Ys: Memories of Celceta is one of the best Ys games (my personal favorite) and well worth $20 for the system

the muramasa dlc is really cool. 4 different stories from 4 different perspectives, adding new playstyles to an already challenging, varied action game
and the game often goes on sale for less than the price you're getting the vita --- ICON: We've got movie sign! ... Copied to Clipboard!

I mostly bought my vita for portable versions of UMvC3 and MK9. Played a lot of Pinball Arcade, Muramasa, and Dragon's Crown on it too.

MK9 Vita is a pretty good port with 50% more challenge tower levels, and they're good. Was definitely worth the $5.
