I'm of the opinion that the GTA-lite schtick was kind of unnecessary and that aspect's quality can be summed up as "meh."

On a technical level, the game was quite an achievement for it's time. I played it and loved it as a game.

The weird edge lord vibe and ugly grey grunginess sucked tho. I preferred the brighter, colorful vibe of J&D1. The original felt more creative from a world design standpoint imo

Jak 2 is unforgiving and has a lot of missions that don't involve 3D platformer skill

Also the vehicles suck
