Long story short my previous cat that still lives with my mom in Michigan has been slowly having kidney issues and now has been vomiting constantly the past 4 days.

Her vet appointment is in about an hour and my mom doesn't want to spend a lot of money for renal failure and may opt to put her down instead

Mom says after vomiting all her food this morning she's been sitting on the couch in the basement all day instead of hanging out in the living room

Her appointment should be happening now

They're thinking she has a blockage somewhere in her digestive system and taking her into surgery right now
---

So they're keeping old SHINEcat until Monday and then they're going to cut open her belly and try to remove the blockage they don't know if it's a foreign object a hairball or a growth in her intestines

Then my mom's going to have to figure out how to keep her confined to one room so that she doesn't go up and down the stairs while she's recovering which I'm sure will be fun

welp bad news

Overnight she stopped breathing and they diagnosed her with renal failure and liver cancer on top of the intestinal blockage

My mom decided that was enough and pulled the plug

she's 5 years old though so she still has long ways to go
