Currently 248 pounds at 6'1 feet tall and my goal is at least 200 by the end of this year

Eat alot of protien, whey and lean meats. Whole foods, fruits, veggys, fiber. Dont eat alot of carbs. Stop eating all crap food (e.g. fast food, junk food, candy, chips, soda, frozen food, etc..) You CAN'T lose fat if you don't eat on a caloric deficit
It will be very HARD to lose fat if you don't exercise also If you want to retain (and grow if you're not athletic, sounds like you're not) muscle, you should also lift weights. Also I'll add that it depends what you eat. My go to meal is 5oz of chicken thigh, 1 cup of pasta, and 1 cup of broccoli. 600 calories. I am STUFFED after I eat it.
You can also eat 600 calories of chips, ice cream, and a soda, and feel like you're going to starve to death. Eat high satiety foods --- But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them - bring them here and kill them in front of me ~Jesus Christ ... Copied to Clipboard!

Also if you eat too little, you'll lose muscle before fat, and then just end up skinnyfat. Gotta eat the right amount
