this will ruin @chill02 's weekend

Edit: he also has summer tires and is complaining about how his RWD car with summer tires is sliding around in the snow LOL

I'd normally feel rustled but this is a Tesla, so it's like replacing an iPod (remember when mp3 players were a thing? What a world)

Are the tires staggered? If so, then you can't rotate the tires.

Is there some reason he couldn't just buy new tires?

I love my iPod classic and plan on replacing the hard drive with flash memory when it dies

If the tires are staggered, and his tires only last 6 months safely, that's four tires a year he has to buy...

He can afford a 70k tesla but not $400 worth of tires every year?

For staggered Tesla Model S, they use a 21" 265/35R21s. These tires go for around $350/one on TireRack. So that's $1400 in just rear tires over a year...

The person is too stupid to understand how a car works, so chucks out entire car like an ipod.

My last car was a Lexus IS350 RWD with a staggered setup. The car also had a natural negative camber for fast cornering. I went through the rear tires just like he did in the video (had to replace the rear tires twice a year, and had to replace the front tires a little over once a year).

It was ridiculous, and I can totally understand why he doesn't want to deal with that shit and just get another car.

Yeah seriously.. I don't drive around that much but the first set of tires I had on my car lasted me like 7 years.. Same for the winter tires. So basically 3-4 years if I had the same set all year long.

There's a special place in hell for people who are rich but also stupid, and use this powerful combination to trash companies over shit they don't understand.

The same kind of person goes to a fine dining restaurant, orders a steak, demands it's cooked well done, and then gets on Yelp to say "1/5 stars, the steak was really poor quality for what I paid, I could have done this myself".

I put a new set on my truck recently after about 76k, lasted me 4 1/2 years.

I really don't see why some say he should change his tires every year or every 6 months.

Most of this issue is dependent on how you drive.

If you're hard accelerating every time you get a chance, of course you're going to wear your tires out faster.

Comparing the tires on a truck with the tires on a high end sports car, are you for real?

Here's what tesla tires look like:

Messing up the alignment and not fixing it would do that. Especialy with a shitty driver.
