Future Fight, probably. Gameplay is fine, if a bit repetitive. You can choose which characters you want to unlock, there's a huge amount of selection, regular events and a load of different single player and multiplayer modes. Plus they give free stuff away so often, that I never felt the need to buy any premium currency for anything. And you'll get enough for a few costumes just playing it on a regular basis.

Contest of Champions is a bit button-mashy for my liking. And there's no easy way to get characters you want even if you pay. The main campaign was boring too.

I like the design of the characters and the writing in Avenger's Academy, but unless you want to put down money, you have to constantly check in to get enough event currency to unlock everything. There's no reward from playing it casually. And, if you've missed a character, you have to just wait until they come back around again. Plus events normally have a premium currency only character/costume that you basically need to make the event even somewhat reasonable.

Haven't played Spider-Man Unlimited though, so I dunno about that one.

Still the number one reason for the success of the Internet.
