I mean, they are seemingly able to keep wringing new adventures from the Prime series but Metroid Fusion has seemingly left the tail end of the timeline hanging for over a decade now.

Is there any hope that they'll pick up from after Fusion at some point or can we safely assume they'll just fill in 'blanks' in the middle of the series instead? or, indeed, remake previous games instead?

Yeah it's just rehash after rehash. Metroid fights through a bunch of levels and then kills that big brain thing.

It's as boring as Mario games.

There's a bunch of stuff they could do after Fusion, and the end of Prime 3 is still a cliffhanger.

All I want is a followup to Fusion. That's all.

Maybe a follow-up to Fusion where Anthony Higgs has been tasks with hunting Samus down, since she's considered an outlaw by the Federation now. Of course, Higgs would have his own hang-ups over the mission, since he and Samus are rather close. Both he and Samus world be playable at certain points in the game.

Also, Sylux could be involved as well.
