People like to downplay the risk of toxoplasmosis but we all know that cat people act differently than normal people. It's like if you walk into a house that smells like cat pee and poop and the people living there can't even tell, and they have like 8 cats because they love cats, they've probably all got it.

They get toxoplasmosis from the rodents they eat thus indoor cats can get it too.

What's that? >_> Gojak_v3 posted... Is that some kind of gross poop death? It's a behavior-altering virus that's mainly spread through cat poop. Tests have shown that infected specimens develop an affinity for the smell of the poop, which facilitates further spread of the infection. Other behavioral changes have been noted as well. Changes in behavior have been noted in humans as well. --- Do unto others what your parents did to you. ... Copied to Clipboard!

No, it affects other behavior as well. It's literally a mind-controlling parasite, like something from a god damn sci-fi horror movie.

It seeds in brain tissue and activates if someone becomes immunocompromised (e.g. someone contracts HIV and develops AIDS). Depending on where the parasite seeded, it can alter personality (particularly in the frontal cortex of the brain) and decision making. It doesn't tell you what to do haha --- ...
