have any of you guys used Playstation VUE? I did a 5 day free trial so I could watch the draft and not have to deal with crappy streams and it's actually a pretty decent service. I wouldn't actually pay money for it though.

I decided to watch most of the Rangers-Senators game for no reason and it turned out to be very entertaining. I can't bear to watch the nightcap, though. The Capitals make me sad, but as long as anybody but the Pens take home the Stanely Cup I'm happy.

I also watched the Avs get their asses handed to them in the draft lottery but I remember Slurpee or crin saying this draft class sucks anyway

yeah, but that only makes it worse that the Avs have to pick 4th (looool). they now have to settle for whoever doesn't remain from Patrick/Hischer/Vilardi

honestly, 4th and 10th pick aren't that much different in this draft

It is a good idea if you can start the next series, so that you don't have a bunch of teams waiting around, except they have some bizarre scheduling. Why does Cleveland's series start later than Wizards-Celtics even though Boston and Washington finished up their first round series more recently? I think we all know why #rigged

I'm sure it really has something to do with how the scheduling of their first-round series was set up, but I don't think they should get the "punishment" of starting sooner unless the first-round went seven games. Today would have been game 7 for Washington and Boston so I don't see the justification for having them play today.

The playoffs are long enough as it is. (Season ends in April, playoffs end in June....)

It's less of a punishment for Boston and more of a reward for Cleveland since they were able to sweep the pacers. If the celtics had swept or beaten the bulls in 5, they would have had plenty of rest. First seed plays first, just how it is.

It's not really a problem. Sweep your round and you get more rest. It's why every game is important. If the celtics had swept the bulls they would still have played today, and would have gotten the exact same number of days rest as Cleveland because they played their game four first.

Oh.. well I like the length. I love the NBA playoffs and was very happy when the first round was made best of seven instead of best of five.

The only way they could make it better would be to get rid of the stupid fucking conferences and have the best record in the league play the sixteenth, second best record play the fifteenth, etc etc. that would be so much more fair. Lebron about to play the raptors second round while the rockets and spurs have to play each other. Doesn't make any sense.

Then why was Toronto's Game 6 before Washington's and Boston's if their second-round series starts after? Are you sure that Toronto's Game 6 day wouldn't have been the same day Cleveland would have a Game 6? I get what you're saying but it seems like they don't line it up so that the teams who would be set to play each other a round later are always playing on the same day.

I think it has to do with what channel the games are being shown. They've been splitting them up with NBA tv, TNT, and abc

Yeah, I guess there's a lot that has to go into scheduling. Then you have issues with teams sharing arenas with the NHL too. It's probably hard to plan out, but I wish they would just flex things a bit more. It's annoying when series end at different times and we get left with big dead periods that extend the playoffs. Then when it gets to the Finals they try not to put any games on Saturday so it makes it over two weeks long

The NBA does a pretty good job flexing. If the first round had all been sweeps the second round would have started like four days ago. Even the fact that the second round has started before the first round ended is a pretty good flex.

Until the finals anyway. Then they milk that shit for all it's worth. First game happens and then the second game happens like three days later and it's like what why.

I can't really say anything about hockey playoffs because I do not watch hockey at all, but don't they do some stupid shit like the first seed plays the second seed and the third seed plays the fourth seed or something like that?
