I'm planning to make a one man band music cover and I kinda wanna try out the bass my cousin gave me long time ago >_>

Not too bad. There honestly is no different between electric and acoustic guitars minus a couple of techniques that work better on one or the other (like hammer-ons, though those work on both anyway). I imagine it's the same for bass. Bass is different, but it functions on the same principles.
