I was reading an issue of "All Star Comics" from like 1941. All Star Comics was about the Justice Society, the precursor to the Justice League. anyway, in this issue each member goes to a different hispanic country to fight nazi spies and Johnny Thunder is in Cuba and the narrator refers to the cuba as a great place for american tourists. and the locals are eager to help Johnny defend democracy and freedom, and love Americans.
