I hate throwing out things. I still have my old notebooks from elementary school. I still had all my binders from every semester of high school (until my dad through them out recently). I have every book I've ever bought, every game, folders with things I've printed from the internet from the past 20 years, all of my old sketchbooks, old issues of TV guide from the late 90s/early 00s, X-Men cards from the early to mid 90s...

Yeah, I save up a lot of old things but sometimes I have no other choice and make myself throw things out.

It's great to go down memory lane. I found a printout of a drawing that my friend did for me on Deviantart back in 2004. She deleted all her works a few years after, so I am glad I printed it.

My grandmother was a pack rat too. She had a notebook from the early 1920s but it got lost.

nah, not really. i have a ton of books, but they're like 95% nonfictional, so i don't see a reason to throw them out. otherwise, i don't keep shit that isn't relevant. going down memory lane is nice, but i mostly focus on what's now and in front of me, you know?

I don't really keep them with the intention of looking at them later though, I keep them because I just don't like throwing them out. I've never looked at those old school notebooks and I probably never will

I do keep things that have value to me, though. Obviously I never get rid of my old games and consoles, my old players' guides, and I have Nintendo Powers that go back to 2001.

sort of. I keep stuff of like specific categories thinking I will do something with it eventually then I realize no, I am never going to use old electronics for some big nerd projects. Time to throw that shit away.

Right now I keep on buying wood (hard woods for wood working projects) even though I haven't been using any of it.
