Just beat Spyro the Dragon (PS1) -- 9/10 Probably took me about 30 hrs to beat. Got 120%. I'd never played a Spyro game before.

This was a very pleasant surprise. Considering the type of game it is (3D platformer/collectathon), I really didn't expect to like it. The worlds were just the right size and (except for one world) the rather hidden items weren't ridiculous to find. Except for Tree Tops, I liked every world.

A few things kept this from being a 10/10:
Supercharge jump -- I really disliked this
The flying worlds -- but at least they didn't require near perfect execution to get through
The end boss simply being a long chase

I don't know if it was my disc (which was pretty scratched up), but on my PS3, in Toasty, the PS3 kept repeatedly accessing the CD (like it was starting to load up something), causing the music to be extremely choppy and restarting every 5 seconds or so. It had no other gameplay issues there, but I just couldn't take it and restarted on my PS2 (luckily this was only about 1 hour in). On my PS2 there were a few places where the music would stutter for a while before finally playing with no issues, and I fully attribute that to my game disc.

The Spyro series was great on the PS1, developed by Insomniacs (the same developers as the Ratchet & Clank series). Sadly, later titles aren't so great from what I've heard, since the IP was sold to another company.

Today, I shall vote for Bug!, purely because I remember it from an old game magazine.

Since I'm pretty sure Yars' Revenge, Tempest, and Ms. Pac-Man don't have endings, I'll set an attainable challenge score to achieve if any of them miraculously win.

It did give me a lot of the same vibe as the R&C games I played. I had forgotten they also did R&C.

They also did a PS1 FPS before those games, but I wasn't a fan of that one. Gave my copy away.

Yeah, that was it. It can be skipped. Controls were poor (as to be expected from a digital only pad release) and it used a password system. Nothing about it stands out.
