I actually really dislike my own voice

When I used to work the drive thru people would tell me I should do radio everyday. I feel like that would be a super fun job. And like, ridiculously easy.

As a film/media student i can confirm radio working is not really easy at all. You work long days, saying one wrong thing gets you fired, unless you're a bigger name you're basically stuck saying what producers want you to say, etc.

I hear the first one at least once a week at work, and I've heard the second one multiple times as well.

It's always older women, too.

I guess it's because I have a pretty deep voice? I dunno.

I'd imagine yea, you have to concentrate on how you talk so you don't stammer or studder or say "uh" alot

as well as think about WHAT you're saying too

Working long days isn't a problem though

I never get complimented on anything ever. I only receive mockery, mostly from children.

Well, that's not entirely true. I occasionally get "I can't believe you're 26! You look so young!" when people ask me how old I am. But I suppose I've now reached that point where people telling me I look younger than my actual age is a compliment, which in turn still makes me feel old.
