HVGN's first review was Metal Storm.

I'm a fan.

Can't agree with him about Eternal Darkness, though. The combat isn't that great, but I've played it recently and it certainly wasn't unplayable. I still love it. I'm surprised he doesn't like it when he's a D fan.

Okay so I watched the video and basically he's full of ****. The "unavoidable magic" he talks about is absolutely avoidable (notice all the times he gets hit with it, he's just standing there; MOVE! It locks on to where you are when he fires, so just GET OUTTA THERE!). You can refill your magic by running so if you run low on health/sanity you can just run in circles building up your magic to restore it. The combat is actually very easy any time you have a melee weapon because you can cut the enemies' heads off and then they can't see you and just sorta flail around blindly. You can also cut their arms off so they can't even hit you.

If anything, the game is too easy.

Other comments pretty much covered everything I would say.

Also I kinda think it's funny that he praised the character models of all things, since as he said, it was originally supposed to be an N64 game and I always thought that was fairly apparent in the visuals.

Wait is he actually complaining about ED being hard.

Because my biggest issue with the game was that it felt almost mindlessly easy. You can cast spells to restore sanity and health, and you recharge magic by WALKING, for god's sake.
