Already played Origin via... other means, but I'll happily give Falcom and XSEED my £12 if it enhances the odds we'll keep on getting new releases.

Ys: Origin has only had a PC release and nothing else as far as I know.

and only 1 of the 2 Ys games that I've never played.

yeah, Origin is 1) Japanese only until now, and 2) PC only.
so this is a pretty big step for 'em. if this gets money then we may be able to get the other Falcom games - especially wanting to play the Legend of Heroes games as i doubt PSP is getting anything else.

Only Ys 1-3 have had a ton of remakes and ports. Ys 4 is getting one on Vita and Ys 5 got one on PS2 awhile back

Ys: Origins takes place 700 years before the first game so it's technically Ys 0

canon-wise, it's before Ys 1.
release-wise, it was made in i think 2006. around that time anyway. so yeah, it's basically the 2nd most recent Ys that isn't a PSP or DS port/remake.

4 and Seven are my two favorite Ys games too so they chose a good one to remake in the Seven style!

Loved it enough to import it! It's the only TGCD game I own <__>
