Just seems odd that two people who can get along with me apparently can't get along with each other.

I was talking with my friend while I was in Vegas, and he cannot stand one of my friends back home. I don't know why, but it's been bugging me lately that they don't get along at all.

Am I crazy? Does this bother other people, too?

Yes. Unless your friends are all exact copies of one another, I'm not sure why you expect that they all get along perfectly.

I don't get along with lots of my friends friends, and it doesn't really bother me when my friends don't get along, as long as they can behave themselves if they are ever forced to be around or try to drag me into their issues with each other. I have friends with vastly different personalities and interests, so it isn't a big deal to me.

And hell, even if you DO have the same personality, the friend hasn't known both of you the same amount of time. I have a friend who is pretty annoying, but since we've known each other forever, I'm okay with that. But if I met someone else JUST LIKE HIM, I probably wouldn't be as okay with it.

I immediately abandon people like that, including potential girlfriends. There's no way in hell I'll ever let someone even suggest I stop being friends with someone. And even worse if it's an ultimatum.

I plan on being more spontaneous in the future.

It doesn't really bug me. I have some dumb friends and I have some smart friends. My dumb friends feel like my smart friends are condescending and my smart friends think my dumb friends are... well... dumb. Some people just like a different variety of people than others.
